About Us Principal’s MESSAGE

Principal’s MESSAGE

Welcome to NUST Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (NIPCONS). The institute was established in 2009 to conduct undergraduate programmes in Military Art and Science for Pakistan Army cadets and young officers.
Courses in peacekeeping training were introduced after the inauguration of the NUST Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS) by Mr. Ban Ki-moon – UN Secretary General, on 13 August 2013. At CIPS, we aspire to be a world class centre of excellence in the academic pursuit of peace. Besides peacekeeping training, it offers doctoral and graduate courses in international peace and stability. We will also be introducing an under graduate programme in the coming years.
The Centre also performs the role of a Think Tank. We continue our commitment by reaching out to pursue bilateral exchanges, host workshops and other academic activities with our partners, with the hope to make meaningful contributions in dealing with contemporary and future security and peace challenges.
I welcome all present and future alumni of NIPCONS and CIPS for an intellectually rewarding experience during their association with the institute.
